Open4Biz 3rd March 2017Its amazing how quickly a year comes around, and it was great to be back at the Combe Business Open4Biz event. This one had a bit of a troubled time as the venue (The Landmark) closed unexpectedly! The event organisers pulled off a bit of a blinder and The Carlton Hotel stepped in at the last minute to save the day. Well done Robert Zarywacz and the Combe Business team. It was fun to set up my ever growing stall, a portable studio in a corner down stairs. Everything worked really well, which is always a relief. Thank you to Greg Schofield for being such a sport, helping test the set up :0) I had a show offer to do headshots on the day, and thank you to everyone who was brave enough to have their photo taken and great to see them being used on social media. It was good to see our MP Peter Heaton-Jones meeting with local business owners and supporting local business. And everyone had a smile, some more than others :0) Whats great about the day for me as an event photographer is being able to meet everyone and take photos of the day, which I am pleased to see people using. All in all a good day, with some great contacts made and commissions taken :0) Robert talking with his hands. Happy winners on the day. Looking forward to next year :0) I am always happy to come along and cover an event, if I can help at yours please just contact me and I am happy to to have a chat and give you a quote for the day
